The luminescence method was used to measure Ag diffusion into single crystals. It was shown that the diffusion of Ag from the surface, and into the bulk, was caused by the simultaneous movement of Ag+ ions and electrons due to charge neutrality. Therefore, the diffusion of Ag was described by the ambipolar diffusion coefficient, 3.0 x 10-9cm2/s.
