New glasses in the xPbI2-(100-x)(2Ag2O-IV2O5) system, where x ranged from 5 to 20, were characterized by using X-ray diffraction and differential scanning calorimetry. The diffusion coefficient of Ag+ ions, for 10mol%PbI2, using 111Ag as a radioactive tracer was found to be equal to 9.5 x 10-9cm2/s at 363K.
