A membrane with high permeance was synthesized on porous alumina substrate by using the vapor-phase transformation method. The membranes were characterized by using XRD and SEM techniques. The XRD results showed that the membranes after a synthesis time of 24h consisted of pure NaA zeolite crystals. The SEM results showed that the membranes after a synthesis time of 48h consisted of intergrown zeolite crystals. The H2 permeance of the NaA zeolite membranes was higher than 2.0 x 10-6mol/m2sPa, and the maximum of the gas H2/C3H8 perm-selectivity was 7.15; higher than the corresponding Knudsen diffusion selectivity, which was 4.69.
