During an investigation of the effect of a molten salt inclusion complex upon the conductivity of A and X zeolites (figure 4), it was found that inclusion of a salt led to an increase in conductivity. The role of the included ion pair, on the basis of metal–nitrate interaction and the interaction with the oxygen framework of the zeolite, was explained. The general mobility of cations in inclusion complexes increased. The entropy of activation indicated that inclusion of silver nitrate and alkali nitrates led to disordered cation phase formation.Electric Conductivity of Nitrate Inclusion Complexes of A and X Zeolites.
