The mobilities of Na+, K+, Rb+, Cs+, Ca2+, Sr2+ and Ba2+ ions in nearly homo-ionic forms of Hector clinoptilolite were measured using radiochemical means. Self-diffusion coefficients at various temperatures were determined, enabling the calculation of energies, entropies and free energies of activation for cation migration (table 16) in the zeolite framework.
