The migration of 54Mn in pure Al was studied at 917 to 843K by using the serial sectioning technique. The results could be described by:
D (cm2/s) = 8.1 x 100 exp[-1.96(eV)/kT]
This value of the activation energy, which was adjusted for surface-barrier effects, was 0.29eV lower than the previously reported value.
