Interdiffusion data for the zeta phase at 900 to 1050C were determined by using aluminized vapor/solid diffusion-couples and electron microprobe techniques. It was found that the Arrhenius plot was straight, and that the results could be described by:
D(cm2/s) = 219 exp[-58.4(kcal/mol)/RT]
An unusual feature of the data was that, at 1000C, the values were 2 orders of magnitude greater than those for other phases in the system.
