The diffusivity was measured at 1005 to 1145K by using radiotracer (64Cu) and serial sectioning methods. The enhancement of Cu diffusion, due to the addition of the alloying element, was better described by a quadratic expression than by a linear one. The data could be described by:
D (cm2/s) = 4 x 10-1 exp[-200(kJ/mol)/RT]
for an Sb content of 0.3at%, by:
D (cm2/s) = 6 x 10-1 exp[-200(kJ/mol)/RT]
for an Sb content of 0.5at%, and by:
D (cm2/s) = 7 x 10-1 exp[-200(kJ/mol)/RT]
for an Sb content of 0.8at%. The results suggested that highly correlated jumps of solute atoms to vacancies were occurring.
