The diffusivity in the glass was measured at 546 to 643K by using Auger depth-profiling. A more rapid diffusion in Fe80B20, as compared with that in Fe82B18, was attributed to its lower density or metal packing-fraction value. The diffusivities could be described by:

D (cm2/s) = 2.09 x 10-3 exp[-1.56(eV)/kT]
