Field ion microscopy was used to study single-atom self-diffusion on the (311), (331) and (110) planes. The results could be described by:

(311):     D (cm2/s) = 2.0 x 10-6 exp[-0.30(eV)/kT]

(331):     D (cm2/s) = 2.0 x 10-3 exp[-0.45(eV)/kT]

(110):     D (cm2/s) = 1.0 x 10-7 exp[-0.32(eV)/kT]
