The dynamics of H in the α-phase of Pd1-xAgxHy was studied by means of
proton nuclear magnetic resonance measurements. Direct measurements of the long-range diffusion coefficients were performed using pulsed-field gradient nuclear magnetic resonance methods at up to 450K. For both Pd1-xAgxHy samples, the temperature dependence of the diffusivity was well-represented by a single Arrhenius law:
x = 0.1: D (m2/s) = 3.0 x 10-7 exp[-0.23(eV)/kT]
x = 0.3: D (m2/s) = 2.1 x 10-7 exp[-0.26(eV)/kT]
