Diffusion of the chlorine ion was measured in pure single crystals of potassium chloride and in crystals containing mole fractions of strontium chloride of between 2.1 x 10-5 and 4.69 x 10-4. The diffusion coefficient of the chlorine ion in pure potassium chloride was represented by:
D(cm2/s) = 61 exp[-2.12(eV)/kT]
at 560 to 760C.
