The electrochemical properties of U dissolved in LiCl-KCl eutectic melt were investigated using cyclic voltammetry and chronopotentiometry. At 400 to 550C, the diffusion coefficients of U3+ and U4+ were similar and given by,

D(cm2/s) = 13.7 x 10-4exp[-24200/RT]

and

D(cm2/s) = 5.25 x 104exp[-19800/RT]

respectively.
