The rates of diffusion of 14C were described by:

D(cm2/s) = 0.02 exp[-50000/RT]

at 1200 to 1940C. The data obtained with respect to the diffusion of C in a chemical gradient in uranium monocarbide were described by:

D(cm2/s) = 0.0002 exp[-22000/RT]

at 1200 to 2100C.
