In situ tritium release experiments were performed on γ-LiAlO2 polycrystalline powder and pellets with bulk densities of 55, 78 or 90% at 470 to 780C. The experimental results were analyzed using a two-step diffusion model. The diffusivity in grains was given by:

D(cm2/s) = 1.82 x 10-7 exp[-84.5(kJ/mol)/RT]
