Diffusion of oxygen in monoclinic zirconia was studied using the oxygen-18 gas-solid exchange technique. The zirconia was in the form of spheres. Diffusion was measured as a function of equivalent oxygen pressure, using oxygen and CO-CO2 mixtures, at 1 to 10-21atm. In pure oxygen at 700Torr, and between 600 and 1000C, the diffusion was described by:
D(cm2/s) =2.34 x 10-2 exp[-45300/RT]
