Following a previously developed twin-spin model description of the equilibrium properties of the O/W(110) system, a study was made of its collective diffusion by means of Monte Carlo dynamics. It was shown that the collective diffusion coefficient for the model had a different density dependence to that suggested by other models. The essential feature of the model which was responsible for its differing dynamics was the state-dependent interactions. Further assumptions concerning interaction-dependent barriers made the present results comparable to experimental data.
