The correlation factor, f, the vacancy availability factor, V, and the jump frequency factor, W, for diffusion of sodium ions in beta double prime -alumina were calculated as functions of composition and temperature through the application of a Monte Carlo method to a model of nearest neighbor interactions. The results for V and W were in good agreement with those obtained from the pair approximation to the path probability method of Sato and Kikuchi, but the results for f were in substantial disagreement because the calculations of those authors did not include the mathematics of the ordered region.
