The stacking-fault energy and sta
cking-fault nucleation energy were defined in terms of the physical nature of stacking faults and stacking fault energy, and the measurement basis for stacking fault energy. Large numbers of experimental results were processed, and an expression was derived for calculating the stacking-fault energy:
