These nickel alloys contained 10, 25, 50 or 67%Co. The stacking-fault energies ranged from 250mJ/m2 for unalloyed Ni to 18mJ/m2 for the 67%Co alloy. After preliminary working and recrystallization, the alloys were drawn, at room temperature, to reductions of 20 to 90%, giving 0.50mm diameter specimens.
