Highly regular dislocation networks in high-Tc (Bi,Pb)2Sr2Ca2Cu3O10+x in mechanically deformed multi-filamentary Ag-sheathed superconducting tapes were observed by means of transmission electron microscopy. The dislocation density in the network region was calculated to be 1.0 x 1010/cm2. Using these observations, together with uniaxial tensile tests of the superconducting tapes and pure annealed silver, the Young’s modulus and stacking-fault energy on the basal plane in this phase were estimated to be 2.55GPa and 10.5mJ/m2, respectively.
