Deformed single crystals were studied using high-resolution electron microscopy. This revealed that (010)[001] dislocations dissociated on their slip planes to give 2 partials separated by a planar ½(010)[001] fault. The separation was of the order of 15 lattice spacings (15nm). The energy of the fault was estimated to be 60mJ/m2.
