Measurements of 60Co diffusion in the α-phase were performed by using radiotracer and sectioning techniques. The Arrhenius plot was straight at 619 to 823K, and could be described by:

D (cm2/s) = 3.0 x 10-2 exp[-30.2(kcal/mol)/RT]

The results agreed closely with previous data for temperatures ranging from 871 to 1135K, and suggested that there was no ultra-fast impurity effect for diffusion in the α-phase matrix.
