Nuclear resonance scattering of synchrotron radiation was used to determine the elementary diffusion jump in the ordered stoichiometric alloy. To that end, the intensity decay in the forward direction was measured as a function of the crystal orientation. A comparison of various jump models confirmed the earlier results of classical quasi-elastic Mössbauer spectroscopy, but with a considerably better angular resolution.
