The diffusion of Al in the liquids was investigated by using a shear-cell method. The diffusion coefficient of Al in Ga was determined with a reproducibility of between ±13 and ±5% at temperatures ranging from 130 to 800C (table 12). The diffusion data for Ga were consistent with the viscosity data for pure Ga, when compared using the Stokes-Sutherland-Einstein relationship. The same type of relationship between diffusion and viscosity also applied in the case of In.
