The interfaces of the lamellar structure of the γ-phase were analyzed. The misfit between 120º rotation domains with an ordered L10 lattice on the (111) plane, and arrays of interface intrinsic dislocations that were observed by transmission electron microscopy, were investigated. It was shown that a triangular dislocation network of screw Shockley partials could accommodate the observed misfit. The deviation of atomic bonds across the 120º rotation interface was smaller if the adjoining domains were not in coincident orientations, in <101] or <121] directions, but when the rotation angle was instead between these 2 positions. This was consistent with the deviation angle that was deduced from Kikuchi lines, and with the dislocation structure that was observed by using the weak-beam technique.
