Paper eintragenThe solute enhancement factor was calculated for body-centered cubic alloys which contained less than 2at% of solute. Only the second term in the equation, Dc = Do[1 + aC + bC2 + …], was taken into account, where Dc and Do were the solution diffusion coefficients in the alloy and in the pure solvent, respectively. It was shown that, if the absolute value of b was greater than 5, the other terms in the equation could not be neglected if convergence of the series was to be ensured.
