Lattice-dynamics calculations were made of the jump frequencies of various Te isotopes within the framework of a general diffusion theory which assumed that vacancies played an active role. The lattice dynamics were computed by using the virtual crystal approximation and a rigid-ion model. The results indicated that diffusion occurred mainly via a single vacancy mechanism.
