A study was made of the effect of the uniaxial elastic deformation of a crystal upon the luminescence spectrum of screw dislocations. Allowance was made for their orientation relative to the deformation axis. An anisotropy was observed in the structure of the cores of screw dislocations. This was reflected by an experimentally found local symmetry of radiative dislocation centers. The interaction of screw dislocations with the environment of other structural defects was found to be anisotropic.
