The incorporation of atomic H into monocrystals during annealing in H plasma resulted in considerable changes in the cathodoluminescence spectra, due to the passivation of radiative recombination centers or to changes in their charge state. The changes in the cathodoluminescence spectra which were observed under high-energy electron irradiation could be interpreted in terms of the redistribution of incorporated H over possible energy states within the excitation region. The decomposition of H-containing complexes under electron irradiation could not be understood in terms of elastic displacement mechanisms.
