The atomic structures of reconstructed (113) surfaces were studied by using Kikuchi electron holography. Three-dimensional images showed clearly the characteristics of the puckering model for both (113)-(3 x 2) and (3 x 1) surfaces. The Kikuchi electron holography results supported the puckering model. According to the present results, the tetramers were puckering alternately in the (3 x 2) surface. In (3 x 1) structures, there were 2 domains and tetramers buckled uniformly within each of them, but the overall directions were opposite. When doped with H atoms on a (3 x 2) surface, the asymmetrical tetramers changed into a symmetrical form.
