Lattice diffusion of O was studied by using an 18O tracer. It was found that, in the case of Cu3Ba2YO6.93, the O diffusion data could be described by:

D (cm2/s) = 0.287 exp[-173(kJ/mol)/RT]

at temperatures of between 250 and 400C. The lattice diffusivity of O decreased, with increasing x-value, in Cu3Ba2YO7-x.
