The diffusivity of H+ in layers which had been prepared by the thermal oxidation of Nb was measured by using a short-pulse galvanostatic technique. The measured values ranged from 5.2 x 10-7cm2/s, at a deviation from stoichiometry of 0.008, to 3.6 x 10-8 cm2/s, at a deviation from stoichiometry of 0.0042.
