Observations of a rapid drift mobility of metallic Ag, on the surface of a pyrolytically deposited oxide film and under the influence of an applied electric field, were reported. Silver-dag contacts were made to the surface of a film which was maintained in air, at a temperature of 330C, under a potential difference of a few volts. Under these conditions, metallic Ag migrated across the film and formed both fractal and densely packed structures.
