A tomographic and neutron depth-profiling study was made of the 3-dimensional distribution of 2.5MeV Li ions which had been implanted into pyrographite at room temperature. It was found that the results tended to confirm earlier data which had indicated the occurrence of some irradiation-enhanced mobility of the implanted Li. This diffusion was anisotropic and occurred preferentially in the radial direction.
