A gas-liquid metal absorption technique was used to study the effect of the total gas pressure upon the diffusion of H into liquid Fe. The results at 1600C (table 47) could be described by:

ln [D (cm2/s)] = -0.10935po - 6.8968

where po (atm) was the initial gas pressure. The average diffusivity at this temperature was estimated to be 9.27 x 10-4cm2/s.
