An electrochemical relaxation technique was used to study diffusion in alloys with low H contents. The diffusivities obtained at 30C, when extrapolated to zero concentration, decreased steadily from 2.2 x 10-7cm2/s for a B molar fraction of 0.04 to 5 x 10-8cm2/s for a B molar fraction of 0.2. It was suggested that B blocked the tetrahedral holes which were required, for H to diffuse in the Pd lattice.
