The diffusivity of H in Pd-based solid solutions (table 150) was measured at temperatures of between 280 and 360K by using electrochemical techniques. The results indicated that the addition of either of the substitutional solutes to the Pd lattice decreased the H diffusivity. The data were explained in terms of the cell model for solid solutions. In the case of the Pd-Pt system, the kinetic data agreed with the predictions of the cell model.
