The interdiffusion of discs of Co50Ti50 and Co54Ti46 was studied by means of electron-probe micro-analysis. It was found that the interdiffusion data (table 34) obeyed an Arrhenius relationship of the form:
D (m2/s) = 5.4 x 10-5exp[-265(kJ/mol)/RT]
It was suggested that these values of the pre-exponential factor and activation energy reflected an intrinsic volume diffusion behavior.
