Radio-tracer serial sectioning studies, involving 195Au, 75Se and 64Cu, were carried out over a temperature range of 600K. The results revealed that, regardless of the nature of the impurity, the grain boundary diffusivities (table 38) were of the same order as the grain boundary self-diffusivity. These magnitudes were quite different to those for lattice diffusion.
