The kinetics of interdiffusion between In, and Cu or Cu-7.5at%In alloy, were studied by monitoring the thickening of the intermediate alloy zone. The interdiffusion coefficients were then deduced from these kinetics. It was found that the data, at temperatures ranging from 373 to 423K, could be described by the expressions:

Cu/In:     D (m/s½) = 4.31 x 10-7exp[-26.07(kJ/mol)/RT]

Cu-In/In:     D (m/s½) = 6.76 x 10-7exp[-26.42(kJ/mol)/RT]
