The electrical properties of these fluorapatites were determined by using the complex impedance method. This revealed a mixed, anionic and cationic, conductivity which was attributed to the 3-dimensional nature of the diffusion process in the materials. The present work proved that several factors were responsible for diffusion; such as the nature of the cationic site, and the size and polarizability of the cations which were introduced into the system.
