Screw dislocations near to a sub-surface crack were investigated. The system was mapped, into that of a screw dislocation near to a free surface, by using a Schwarz-Christoffel transformation. The complex potential, stress field, stress-intensity factor, dislocation image force and strain energy were obtained.
