The elastic fields of displacements, strains and stresses for such a loop were obtained by using the Burgers formula. Interactions between 2 shear circular loops were also obtained on the basis of elasticity theory. A series of molecular dynamics simulations were performed on a shear circular partial dislocation loop in order to check the elastic solutions. It was found that the results of the molecular dynamics simulations were in good agreement with those of elasticity theory for a loop with a radius of 7.5nm.
