The dependence of tracer self-diffusion upon the isostatic pressure was studied in body-centered cubic material at pressures ranging up to 0.72GPa (table 19). Activation volumes of 55% and 45% of the atomic volume were estimated for 556 and 515K, respectively. The pressure effect upon self-diffusion in β-Tl was comparable to the situation for Na and K.
