Real-space renormalization-group calculations were performed on 2-dimensional dislocation systems which were loaded by an external stress. By extending an existing model, a recursion relationship was found in the renormalization-group scheme for the coupling constant between dislocations. Using these recursion relationships, a non-linear equation was derived for the stress dependence of the transition temperature. The results revealed significant deviations from the predictions of the earlier model; depending upon the core energy of the materials.
