A practical means of determining the segregation parameter, via the non-linear segregation effect upon grain-boundary diffusion, was described. The segregation and migration parameters of Ag in Cu were estimated, and the results were compared with the results of previous investigations. It was concluded that it was possible to determine the segregation parameters from penetration plots obtained for the B-kinetic regime. The segregation and migration enthalpies of Ag in Cu were deduced to be equal to 39 and 91kJ/mol, respectively. The present results agreed well with previous experimental data.
