The effect of hydrostatic pressure on photo-induced interdiffusion in Se/As2S3 and As0.2Se0.8/As0.2S0.8 nanomultilayers was studied in the pressure range of 0 to 0.9GPa. The photo-bleaching due to the mixing was detected in situ and used to follow the interdiffusion kinetics. It was observed that the applied pressure suppressed the diffusion rate. The activation volumes of the interdiffusion process in both systems ranged from 0.40 to 0.45; in units of average atomic volume.
