Progress in Experimental and Computational Mechanics in Engineering
Volume is indexed by Thomson Reuters CPCI-S (WoS).
This book comprises the papers presented at the International Conference on Experimental and Computational Mechanics (ECM02), which was held in Dunhuang, China. The proceedings of this prestigious Sino-Japanese conference covered very wide-ranging topics.
Each of the 10 subject areas (Computational Mechanics, Composites, Design, Dynamics, Experiment, Fluid Dynamics, Fracture Mechanics, Materials Behaviour, Numerical Simulation, and Sand, Soil and Bio-Mechanics) included many stimulating and innovative papers; covering every materials group, and most properties. The more than 100 contributions were presented by 160 distinguished experts from the USA, China, France, Japan, the UK and other countries, and presented the most recent advances in fields which included numerical simulation, automobile design, aeronautics and aerospace, production engineering, materials testing, surveillance, energy production, biomechanics, civil engineering and environmental issues. Altogether, this volume will be an invaluable addition to the bookshelf of any scientist, engineer or academic library; especially those having interdisciplinary interests.
