Wood-Polymer Composite for the Manufacture of Sleepers

Abstract:

Article Preview

Compared with traditional railway sleepers, composite sleepers have prominent advantages in performance design and sustainable development, which make these kinds of sleepers preferred development direction for sleeper industry. However, there are great differences between physical and mechanical properties of composite sleeper that produced all over the world, which lead to the problem of searching rational parameters for composite sleeper. By comprehensively using design of experiments and optimization theory, rational parameters of composite railway sleeper are studied in this paper.
